Association Membership
What is the Association Membership?
In order to keep sport registration costs down, and to streamline our ability to cover administrative costs for items and services that support all sports, Lighthouse Christian Athletics requires an annual Association Membership fee starting.
This annual fee will be paid one time per athlete for the year, and will allow them to take part in any sport during that athletic year. The fee for the 2025-2026 season will be:
For athletes 10 and up:
- $75 for the 1st athlete
- $50 for the 2nd athlete
- $25 for the 3rd athlete
- Free for the 4th athlete and beyond
For athletes under 10:
- $25 per athlete
- Free for the 4th athlete and beyond
To join your athlete now, choose the register button at the top of the page, then select Annual Association Membership, or click the "JOIN NOW" button below. You will not be able to register for your sport in a given season without first having purchased the Association Membership for that athlete.
We know this is a change from our previous way of covering these costs, which was to include them in the registration fee of every sport. Ultimately, this approach will allow us to better prepare for future growth while keeping costs to our families as low as possible.
What types of expenses does the Association Membership cover?
Lighthouse Christian Athletics is committed to being transparent about where fees paid by our families are spent. One of the primary objectives and responsibilities falling on our Board of Directors is to ensure proper stewardship of all financial resources that we are given.
Some of the common general administrative expenses that are shared across our organization are as follows. In total these general administrative expenses add up to several thousand dollars per year.
- Sports Administration Platform
- Website
- Communication Platform
- Software & Cloud Services (accounting software, email hosting, shared file storage, etc.)
- Legal Services
- Accounting/Financial Services
- Office Supplies
- Insurance
- MSHSAA annual registration fees
- Background Checks, Child Protection Training, and CPR Training (for coaches)
